Black Butler -Emerald Witch Arc- Anime Premiere Date Set in New Trailer - Anime Ai 🤖

Next up for the anime adaptation of Yana Toboso’s Black Butler manga is Black Butler -Emerald Witch Arc-, which now has a premiere date. The series returns to the screen to enter the new storyline on April 5, with Crunchyroll streaming alongside the Japanese broadcast.

Along with the release date, a new trailer and visual made their way online.

As previously reported, new additions for Emerald Witch Arc include Rie Kugimiya (Shana in Shakugan no Shana) as Sieglinde Sullivan and Chikahiro Kobayashi (Saichi Sugimoto in Golden Kamuy) as Wolfram.

The main cast will be back in their respective roles, and returning staff includes director Kenjiro Okada, scriptwriter Hiroyuki Yoshino, character designer Yumi Shimizu and composer Ryo Kawasaki, among others back at anime studio CloverWorks.

The previous season, Public School Arc, premiered on April 13, 2024.

The Black Butler manga is available in English through Yen Press, which sums up the story:

Just a stone’s throw from London lies the manor house of the illustrious Phantomhive earldom, its master one Ciel Phantomhive. Earl Phantomhive is a giant in the world of commerce, Queen Victoria’s faithful servant . . . and a slip of a twelve-year old boy. Fortunately, his loyal butler, Sebastian, is ever at his side, ready to carry out the young master’s wishes. And whether Sebastian is called to save a dinner party gone awry or probe the dark secrets of London’s underbelly, there is practically nothing Sebastian cannot do.
